10 Even More Horror Movie Villains Who Were Completely Unprepared

6. Adrian Griffin - The Invisible Man

Trick R Treat
Universal

The Invisible Man opens with Cee leaving her tyrannical partner, Adrian Griffin. When it's reported that Adrian has taken his own life, Cee feels unburdened for the first time in years.

However, after being attacked by an unseen force, Cee is convinced her abusive partner has turned himself invisible and faked his death so that he can continue to torment her. After the incorporeal brute frames Cee for murder, she's locked up in a psychiatric institution.

When Cee has a later encounter with this rogue, she shoots him dead, only to discover that the perp is Adrian's brother, Tom, who'd been stalking her in a light-cancelling tech suit. By the time the police storm Adrian's house, they find him tied up and seemingly imprisoned by his sibling.

Of course, this was all part of Adrian's masterplan, since he and his brother took turns torturing Cee in the invisible outfit.  However, he insists Tom is responsible for everything, allowing Adrian to get away scot-free. Certain he's fooled everyone, the pompous industrialist encourages Cee to return home with him, claiming he's a changed man.

Little does Adrian know Cee has plans of her own. After heading to the bathroom, Cee puts on the invisible suit and kills Adrian in a way that makes it look like suicide. Even though Adrian believed he had power over his wife, Cee proved to be the stronger of the two.
