7. Ouija: Origin Of Evil - Maybe Don't Let Your Child Make Business Decisions For You
Being a single parent is hard, as this list has already taught us. They're exhausted, irritable and they'd probably go to anyone for a bit of help or advice.
Well, maybe not everyone. Because taking career advice from your 15-year-old daughter doesn't really seem like a smart choice. Then again, sharing a business with your two kids isn't a great idea to begin with. But for Alice Zander, this seemed to be the only choice.
When her husband passes and her psychic con begins to grow stale, Alice looks to her eldest daughter for some ideas to spice up the family business. When Lina nonchalantly suggests a ouija board as a new gimmick, mother Alice puts less than a second's thought into the idea.
And that is the moment Alice messes up. While trying out the board, she unwittingly invites an evil spirit into their home and into her nine-year-old daughter Doris. The family then continues to use and abuse the board in an attempt to contact the dead patriarch of the family, and each time Doris gets a little more taken over.
As a mum, Alice should have figured things out sooner, and it's not even her that realises her own daughter is possessed, it's Lina!
Overall, Alice exhibits some real bad parenting in this movie, but it all started with that original mistake. Do not bring a ouija board into the home of your vulnerable children!
