10 Famous Actors Who Can't Help Doing The Same Thing In Every Movie

7. John Travolta Has To Dance

As Witnessed In: Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Staying Alive, The Experts, Michael, Get Shorty, Pulp Fiction, Be Cool, Hairspray When he's not mispronouncing names, John Travolta spends his time building up his filmography with movies in which he dances. This might seem like a fairly bland observation when most people associate John Travolta with classics like Grease and Saturday Night Fever ("Of course he dances!"), but hiring this dude to be in your film presumably means that you are forced, by contractual obligation, to include at least one scene where he gets to strut his stuff. To be fair, when Pulp Fiction came out in 1994, people have been hankering for a little John Travolta dance magic for a while (he did a few "serious" moves where dancing wasn't really a possibility, so we'll admit there are a few gaps here and there). After he hit the floor with Uma Thurman, though, everybody remembered that John Travolta was a) a thing and b) liked dancing, and directors have been ensuring that he gets a chance to boogie down ever since. Sometimes for no reason at all.
