6. Evangeline Lilly

We all see her face and immediately think of Kate from Lost, but if it wasn't for her walking the streets of British Columbia one fateful day, the island as we know it would've certainly been a different place. Lilly had been studying Internal Relations when she was spotted out and about by a Ford Modelling Agency agent. She took the agent's business card and eventually landed roles in adverts, as well as non-speaking parts in TV shows like Smallville. A friend encouraged Lilly to audition for Lost, which she never expected to be cast for; and she certainly didn't think the show would be such a massive hit. Since then we've seen her in the award-winning "The Hurt Locker", and of course, Peter Jackson's creation Tauriel in "The Hobbit" franchise. She's also due to star in Marvel's "Ant-man" next year.
