10 Famous Actors Who Decided To Turn On Their Own Movies

9. Mark Wahlberg - The Happening

The Happening Can you blame him? When Mark Wahlberg signed on to star in what would be M. Night Shyamalan's third abomination in a row back in 2005, I doubt he realised that he was actually agreeing to star in one of the most unintentionally hilarious comedies ever made: The Happening, to put it simply, was embarrassing, given Shyamalan's decision to try and make shots of trees and plants blowing in the wind look really, really scary. Bad as it is, The Happening is kind of oddly entertaining in its anti-movieness... both ridiculous and bizarrely fun in its overall insanity. Still, Wahlberg, who actually has this thing in his filmography, failed to see the funny side. During an interview one time, he let rip: "F*ck it. It is what it is. F*cking trees, man. The plants. F*ck it. You can€™t blame me for wanting to try to play a science teacher. At least I wasn€™t playing a cop or a crook."
