10 Famous Actors Who Inexplicably Popped Up In Found Footage Movies

2. Sarah Wayne Callies (Into The Storm)

Of all the films included on this list, Steven Quale€™s tornado-chaser-found-footage-movie Into The Storm is easily the loosest when it comes to playing by the found footage rulebook. Though the film presents itself initially as a recording of a high school graduation ceremony, it isn't 20 minutes into the proceedings before the conceit is ditched in favor of cool aerial shots of the twisters wrecking havoc on towns, schools, and airports. Illogical plotting, uninteresting characters, bad dialogue - Into The Storm is the prototypical SyFy original movie on a $50 million budget. It's an 89-minute schlock-fest that can€™t make up its mind about what type of film it wants to be, so instead elects to try and be everything and anything. But of all of the film€™s €œattributes,€ it€™s Sarah Wayne Callies, essentially just reprising her performance as The Walking Dead€™s Lori Grimes, that ends up being Into The Storm€™s most distracting element. One could actually make a drinking game out of comparing the similarities between Callies' Allison and Lori: do they both angrily refuse to listen to those that are smarter than them? Drink. Do they both jump to conclusions without properly investigating the facts? Drink. Do they both swear that they have skills to contribute to the group, yet never seem to get around to showing what they are? Drink. Are they both just all around nags, whom you pray will get killed off so as to spare you from bearing witness to any more of their boneheaded decisions? Drink. And if you really plan on watching Into The Storm from beginning to end, then just keep drink, drink, drinking.
