10 Famous Actors Who Missed Out On Their Perfect Role

6. Bryan Cranston - Lex Luthor

Bryan Cranston Sorry, Jesse Eisenberg: maybe you'll surprise us all and do a fine job as a sort of Mark Zuckerberg-like Lex Luthor, but as soon as Bryan Cranston's name became associated with that of Superman's arch-nemesis, the world collectively agreed that yes, this was the perfect choice. One might argue that the "Bryan Cranston is the bad guy" thing has grown thin these past years, but it's hard to deny the obvious compatibility factor between this actor and the infamous villain. You could even say that Cranston pretty much transformed into Lex Luthor over the course of TV's Breaking Bad, in the sense that his mild-mannered Mr. Chips ended up as a bald, scenery-chewing genius who would stop at nothing to see his evil plans through to the end. Okay, so maybe Bryan Cranston would've been too obvious a choice after Kevin Spacey already played Luthor in Superman Returns, but that's the point; too late now, but he would've been great.
