The crime-drama Underbelly is based on real-life events surrounding Australian's criminal underworld, with each season centering on different facets of life and telling the story from different perspectives, much like The Wire.

Season 4 focuses on the uprise of organized crime in Sydney, and features Anna McGahan as Nellie, a wildly popular prostitute of the era. Needless to say, there was plenty of nudity.

Then 22-year-old McGahan has since revealed huge regrets about revealing it all on camera, telling one interviewer she was given the advice that if she wanted to work as an actress, she "had to be prepared to get my breasts out".

The countless scenes where she did just that led to McGahan being typecast as "the sex girl", as she called it, which she roundly rejects these days.

"I was naive. And in my naivety, I was not able to protect myself from an industry that did not consider itself responsible for me, or how my body was experienced and understood by a public audience."

She's made the decision not to appear nude in the future.
