Sylvester Stallone asked for the song to be written because he wasn't able to get permission to use Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust" in the film. Now it's almost unfathomable not to listen to that instantly recognized guitar riff and the inspiring lyrics to get pumped up for the game or in Rocky Balboa's case, fight of your life.
