10 Fan Theories That Completely Change The Harry Potter Movies
10. Harry Can Never Die
Although the ending of Harry Potter is relatively optimistic (Voldemort is vanquished, Harry and company live happily ever after), it has the potential to be a lot more dark. The way that the prophecy is interpreted in the books and films is basically that Harry Potter and Voldemort are mystically bound together, and either Harry has to kill Voldemort or Voldemort has to kill Harry. But there's another way of looking at it: what if dying at the hands of one another is the only way that either of them can die at all? When Harry kills Voldemort at the end of Deathly Hallows, he has killed the only person who can end his life, making him immortal. Which sounds nice in theory, until you realize that he has destroyed his only means of ever seeing his parents or loved ones again. Considering how much Harry has already lost, and how much he has left to lose (Ron, Hermione, Ginny, his children), it's difficult to see this as anything other than a curse. And so Harry is doomed to walk the Earth alone forever, in the cruelly ironic interpretation of his moniker as The Boy Who Lived.
