8. Get Ready To Play Warcraft
World of Warcraft might be hemorrhaging subscribers like nobody's business these days, but it's still a tremendously popular gaming enterprise that would no doubt do gangbusters at the box office with the geek quadrant. Duncan Jones, who is two-for-two as far as his directing chops go, is tackling the fantasy property after Sam Raimi dropped out, and if there's anyone who can actually make a good, even great game based on a video game, perhaps it's just going to be the son of David Bowie. A teaser trailer was shown at last weekend's Comic-Con to major applause, though the project doesn't begin shooting for real until early next year. While it's easy for fantasy fare to wind up being generic and forgettable, with Jones at the helm, expectations are certainly high, and if he screws it up, he'll certainly hear about it from the game's colossal fanbase.
