1. Beatrix Kiddo/The Bride (Kill Bill)
Beatrix Michelle Kiddo, also known as The Bride (Uma Thurman), is the main protagonist in the two Kill Bill movies. She was once a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. Known by her code-name Black Mamba, Beatrix was romantically involved with the titular Bill (David Carradine - who is never actually seen on screen, apart from his hands), who was the leader of the assassins. After her early retirement from her assassination career, Beatrix's friends, family and her fiance Tommy were murdered at the marriage rehearsal. Beatrix herself - pregnant at the time with Bill's baby, which she had led Tommy to believe was his - was put into a four-year coma, during which time her and Bill's baby was delivered successfully. When she awakens, 'the deadliest woman in the world' embarks on a mission of revenge, which sees her actively seeking out the perpetrators of the massacre - including Bill. The two films see her slicing, dicing and ass-kicking her way through armies of ninjas, assassins and bodyguards, until she finally gets to Bill. She uses an exploding heart technique to finish him off and they make their peace as he dies.
