6. The Underworld Franchise
This is a film series that actually started off with a fairly interesting idea and then proceeded to drop in quality so drastically it was rather startling. Now, I'm not saying that any of these films are going to be troubling the Academy anytime soon, but they had a B-movie, exploitation charm to them. The idea of respected thespians like Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy, camping it up as werewolf and vampire overlords had a kitsch charm to it. Though the third and fourth entries got so tired and wearisome that you were praying for them to end. Even the return of Kate Beckinsale couldn't restore this franchises credibility. I think it's time that we put these blood suckers out of their misery permanently.
