10 Film & TV Characters Who Weren’t As Powerful As Their Usual Portrayal

3. The Kryptonians (Family Guy)

Family Guy Kryptonians As already discussed in the previous entry regarding Superman, comic book Kryptonians are incredibly powerful - with General Zod possessing exactly the same powerset as the man of steel. As a trio, these particular three Kryptonians are perhaps better known from the Christoper Reeve Superman movies, in which they were famously played by Terence Stamp (Zod), Sarah Douglas (Ursa) and Jack O'Halloran (Non). They had the same powers as Superman in the movie too, with vast superstrength, durability that made them impervious to damage from conventional military weapons, flight, super breath and heat vision. In this instance in Family Guy, Peter Griffin was impressed at his wife Lois' new martial arts abilities, so he started drawing trouble towards her in the local bar. He would tell people that they sucked and goad them in to a fight to make Lois step in to fight them off. After saying "Krypton sucks", the trio of villainous Kryptonians (who were just chilling at the bar, as they do...) attacked him and Lois took them all down with ease. Of course, this is nothing more than a mere joke scene, but being taken down by a single human being obviously makes them infinitely inferior to other Kryptonian incarnations of characters.
