10 Filmmakers EMBARRASSED By Their Own Movies

9. Michael Bay - Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

Michael Bay is typically not one to respond to criticism of his movies at all, let alone positively or negatively. The controversial director always makes enough money off his movies to make any criticism kinda irrelevant, so why bother getting worked up, eh?

However, we do know his thoughts on one of his big blockbusters, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. And it may shock you to know that he resoundingly agrees with the critical thrashing it received.

Like a lot of films from that year, the writers strike threw the entire production into chaos, as being suddenly without a screenwriter is one of those problems with film production that can very quickly snowball into various different problems if you don't have a backup plan. Which Bay did not.

What resulted was a rushed, chaotic production running on a half baked script, which of course led to what many consider (the director included) to be the worst Transformers movie. And if you remember anything about these movies, you know that that threshold is vast.
