7. Midnighter
Maybe DC could make the first queer superhero lead movie.
Midnighter is so much more than a gay Batman. He's a bad ass, tough as nails brawler who is willing to cross the line when needed to. It could lead to crazy action sequences, and maybe would work well as an R rated movie in DC's lineup.
It would be another coup for DC Entertainment too, making the first major superhero film with a gay male lead. They've already gone part of the way with Wonder Woman, a queer woman, though they didn't explicitly make any focus on that element of the character. Midnighter could be the chance for them to incorporate the sexuality of the character more actively into the film.
Take inspiration from the incredible run of Midnighter and Midnighter & Apollo from Steve Orlando, Aco et al. This would be a wonderful source for making a balls to the wall action heavy movie with an unapologetic look at queerness too.
