10. The Toxic Avenger Part II (1989)

The original Toxic Avenger follows Melvin, a 98 pound weakling janitor who works at a health spa. After a prank gone wrong, Melvin falls out of a window and into a vat of noxious chemicals. He is transformed into the hideously disfigured superhero The Toxic Avenger. The film that basically created Troma Entertainment is often hailed as a certified cult classic. Remembered fondly for its laughably over-the-top violence and comedy. Its sequel that was released a few years later doesn't seem to be remembered as fondly. Toxic Avenger 2 opens with Toxie working at a Treatment Center for the Blind. And things get just as ridiculously over-the-top as the previous film. This includes one of the villains donning a KKK uniform (for absolutely no reason) and shooting a helpless old blind lady in the face for comedic effect. Toxie even takes one of the villains (who happens to be a midget), squashes him into the size of a basketball and slam dunks him though a net. The film is also notable for being the debut of actor/martial artist Michael Jai White (for whatever that€˜s worth). This film is so deliberate with its awfulness that it's almost impossible not to enjoy it. You either love it, or you're indifferent to it. It's cheap, stupid, immature... it's a Troma classic.
