10 Films That Are Said To Be Cursed

8. Rebel Without A Cause

Rebel Without A Cause is a timeless coming-of-age classic that perfectly captured the rising unrest of teenagers in 1950s America. Though considered a classic, the film has taken on another symbolism thanks to its apparent curse.

Such talk stemmed from the fact that the four main stars, including James Dean and Natalie Wood, died at a young age.

James Dean’s death has been heavily documented: the rising star was 24-years-old when he died in a car crash, before the film was released. Adding to the spooky factor, it is alleged that actor Alec Guinness spoke to the young star, warning him that if he drove the famed Porsche Speedster 23F, he'd be dead within the week. He died seven days later.

Dean's co-star, Natalie Wood’s death has remained under the spotlight for decades, due to the mysterious and thus far mostly unexplained nature of her drowning. Then there’s co-stars Nick Adams who died of a drug overdose and Sal Mineo who was stabbed to death during a robbery at the age of 37.
