Here's one that's actually finally happening. A Blade Runner sequel is due to go into production in 2016, though unfortunately without Ridley Scott directing and with star Harrison Ford only in a minor role. This is pretty disappointing. After all, we know Harrison Ford is happy reprising old roles. He played Indiana Jones off and on for over 20 years and he returned to Han Solo after a 30 year absence from the role. Why not also give Rick Deckard another full film? Though the news of a sequel is welcome, it seems unlikely to spend the time with Deckard that fans would like. After Scott confirmed that he was a Replicant, audiences clamoured for an examination of the man who was tasked with killing his own. Maybe Ford can still be convinced?
