hideAndSeek Robert De Niro stars alongside future star Dakota Fanning as a grief stricken widow attempting to make a new start after the suicide of his wife. His daughter, Emily begins to discusses her growing obsession with her new imaginary friend, Charlie, who's influence increases to a problematic extent between the distant father and daughter. The Reveal: Our final stop along the mental fragmentation and schizophrenic journey is not necessarily the worst example of a predictable plot twist however makes it's way into this list by being guilty of not exhibit a unique enough ending to argue it's exemption. The vague way in which the apparent suicide of DeNiro's wife is discussed leaves the audience doubting the mental stability of his character David Callaway (or his murderous alter ego Charlie). When imaginary friend of his daughter's, Charlie enters the fray it is even more reason to begin to identify links between David's unstable mind set and this murderous figure.
