10 Films That Prove We Should Fear Technology

1. The Terminator

The ultimate example, The Terminator has a bit of everything: robotics, time travel, genetics, and plays on personality and identity. If there is one character that epitomizes our fear of technology, it is Schwarzenegger€™s ruthless cyborg assassin, sent back through time to kill the mother of humanity€™s future resistance forces. In addition to the callous, unthinking killer in the titular role, we are privy to brief glimpses of the future war between humans and the machines. With images of bombed out cityscapes, blue laser fire cutting through the night sky, and metal tank treads carving a path atop human skulls, The Terminator is the quintessential example of what can go wrong when we don€™t consider the consequences of our advanced technology.
