4. Inseminoid
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: a group of astronauts investigating a distant planet encounter a creature that attacks one of the crew, who they quickly realize has been impregnated and has another creature growing inside them.
It fell to schlock supremo Norman Warren to grind out this cheapjack British facsimile, which also features a mix of American and British actors. Instead of Sigourney Weaver, John Hurt and Ian Holm, however, Inseminoid trades down with Jennifer Ashley, Stephanie Beacham and Victoria Tennant.
Cheap, nasty and not really worth your time, Inseminoid is a sleazy exploitation movie to the core, throwing in nudity and blood galore as Judy Geeson’s astronaut, who’s been impregnated by the alien, goes berserk and murders her colleagues one after the other. Don’t expect anything too elaborate here – the murders are closer to a slasher movie as Geeson stabs Tennant with scissors and later disembowels several others.
