10 Final Horror Movie Scenes That Changed Everything
2. Right At Your Door
Right at Your Door is a criminally under-seen horror-thriller following a couple, Brad (Rory Cochrane) and Lexi (Mary McCormack), residing in Los Angeles when the city is hit by multiple dirty bombs.
Brad, who is home while Lexi is at work, follows the advice of the authorities and seals up his home to prevent the bombs' deadly pathogen getting inside. Seems sensible enough, right?
Except, at film's end a soldier informs Brad of a startling new discovery - the pathogen doesn't thrive in wide-open environments, and by sealing up his house, Brad basically created the perfect incubator for the agent to infect his respiratory system.
The soldiers then flood the house with fumigating chemicals, killing Brad and eliminating all trace of the virus, while Lexi - who spends almost the entire movie outside - ironically survives.
The ending completely flipped Brad's seemingly logical decision to seal up the house on its head, and it's certainly one of those endings that hits differently in a "post-pandemic" world.
