1. Robert De Niro
Of all the people who are on this list, some of whom I am a fan of, this is the one that upsets me the most. De Niro is one of the greatest actors in the world, an icon of his generation, yet despite this or perhaps because of it, he has to be here - his run of films post-Goodfellas has been a real mixed bag that simply cannot be ignored. Nor can his performances in several of these films, which have fallen to to the point of self-parody, whether that be unintentional with poorly written scripts that are meant to play up to his strengths but fail miserably, or intentional in the case of the comedic roles he has been taking on in recent years. The likes of Rocky & Bullwinkle and the sequels to Analyze This and Meet the Parents making him look like an absolute idiot. Why is he degrading himself like this? Enough is enough; he is Robert De Niro and it's about time he starts acting like it. Which formally respected actors have embarrassed themselves the most? Let us know in the comments below.
