10 Gaping Plot Holes That Will Ruin Your Favorite Movies

8. Zero Security in a Security Organization - The Avengers

The Hulk is a pretty dangerous guy. S.H.I.E.L.D. called their top agent in from a dangerous mission in order to lead a squad of heavily armed soldiers to apprehend Bruce Banner, the Green Goliath's alter-ego. Millions and millions of the taxpayers money has been spent on building a cage that can hold the Hulk in case he becomes too large of a threat to handle. He's since proved that he can go toe-to-toe with a Thunder God relatively unscathed and toss another deity around like a rag doll. So why on earth do S.H.I.E.L.D. coerce Banner on board, only to then allow him free access to their state of the art helicarrier with no restraints? Couldn't Fury stretch the budget to a personal bodyguard at least? Someone who could have perhaps prevented douchebag Tony Stark from antagonizing Banner into potentially becoming the Hulk AND DEMOLISHING THE HELICARRIER THAT'S KEEPING EVERYONE ALIVE A FEW THOUSAND FEET UP IN THE AIR!? Perhaps the choice was to either guard Banner or spring for a new microwave in the staff kitchen. In that case, fair play Fury, fair play to you sir.
