9. Very Bad Things (1988)
As the title suggests, the characters in Very Bad Things are doomed from the moment the film starts rolling. Kyle (Jon Favreau) heads off to Vegas with his buddies for his bachelor party ahead of his wedding to Laura (Cameron Diaz), and in an alcoholic, drug-fuelled moment of madness a prostitute gets murdered. Cue panicked attempts to hide the evidence before things really fall apart and the bride-to-be gets involved. Most couples hit hard times after the wedding, this marriage is destined for disaster before it has even happened.
Why is it anti-love? Very Bad Things completely destroys the image of the white wedding and the virtuous bride, there is no innocence in their marriage; its all very sinister!
Most anti-love moment? Cameron Diaz turning into a crazy homicidal maniac minutes before her wedding. Doesnt everyman want to hear his future wife mutter the words Stick him in the crapper and get your ass upstairs before they commit to spend their lives together?
