6. David Lynch - Uatu/The Watcher
Okay, so traditionally Uatu is something of an observer of all the goings on on Earth and in the solar system. His entire race are dedicated to watching what's kickin' throughout the multiverse. Generally he's our narrator for all the What If...? scenarios over the course of Marvel history, but Uatu hasn't done a ton else otherwise. Well...he helped out the Fantastic Four a few times...and some other stuff...but let's just leave that out.
Look, it isn't really the plot details that are important with this entry it's the fact that, if we're honest, Uatu is probably a kind of strange dude who will seem kind of/really not of this world/universe. Can you name a single goddamn person who matches that description better than David Lynch? No, we didn't think you could. If you need convincing then we suggest you go and check out What Did Jack Do? on Netflix wherein he interrogates a monkey who might have killed someone. Or perhaps check out his recipe for quinoa on YouTube...yes, seriously.
Watch literally anything with David Lynch in it and tell us that he isn't actually an all knowing alien trying his best, and sort of failing, to seem human. And then try telling us he shouldn't be our Uatu!
