7. The Return Of The King: The Mouth Of Sauron

While this scene is admittedly a little bizarre and its tone sits a little awkwardly with the rest of the film, that doesn't make it any less entertaining.

The Mouth of Sauron is easily one of the most disturbing creations Peter Jackson ever brought to screen and it seems something of a waste to not include it in the final film. Thankfully it was added to the home video release for completist fans to be delighted by.

Obviously time constraints were clearly a pressing issue for Jackson (though he obviously wasn't as concerned by the time The Hobbit came round), but he could surely have made some better cuts than abandoning this excellent sequence.
