5. Knocked Up: Brokeback Mountain Rant

Okay, sure, so some people may misconstrue this scene as being homophobic but it's clearly not meant to be consciously offensive. And it does raise a good point about censorship in movies and about gay rights.

Jonah Hill makes an important point in a hilarious rant that while Brokeback Mountain was considered the gay rights movie of that year, really the film consciously hid a lot of the homosexuality from the audience. Are the public not mature enough to see gay sex on screen?

This cut scene was a strike against the grain: a lot of comedies love to make homosexuality an issue that should be laughed at. This scene in fact reverses that appalling convention, and does it in a way that is neither preachy nor patronising.
