10 Great Films Featuring Super Awkward Kissing Scenes

This thrilling dino-sequel is full of amazing special effects, high-octane adventures, and, unfortunately, one really awkward kiss. The film stars Chris Pratt as Owen the raptor wrangler and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire, an operations manger of the ill-fated Jurassic Park 2.0. As the movie continues, we learn that these two characters, who appear to have little in common, actually share a romantic past.

While the chemistry between Pratt and Howard is pretty believable, and their characters' will-they-wont-they romance injects some levity into the film, their first kiss appears surprisingly contrived.

As hundreds of guests flee Jurassic World, where untethered dinosaurs are wreaking havoc upon visitors following a system failure, Claire bravely saves Owen from the grips of a volatile pterosaur. While park guests literally flee for their lives in the background, Claire and Owen finally realize their feelings for each other and passionately embrace.

Although the kiss is undoubtedly fiery, the timing of this dramatic make-out scene seems a little tone-deaf and out-of-place: as chaos befalls Jurassic World, this supposedly romantic moment is bizarrely juxtaposed with the screams of petrified park visitors.
