10 Great Horror Movies Ruined By One Character

5. Micah - Paranormal Activity

To be honest, it's hard to feel sorry for Micah when he dies at the end of the first Paranormal Activity.

He had plenty of chances to listen to his partner Katie and do something about the demon that was haunting her, but did he? Absolutely not.

After a series of strange goings on in their home, Katie tells Micah that they need to contact a demonologist. Micah, the giant moron, decides not to do this and to continue filming around the house to try and catch it himself.

Even after footage shows the demon moving things around and possessing Katie at night, Micah still refuses to get a professional in. It's like when your mum gets mad at your dad for saying he can build a shelf on his own, but instead of a spice rack it's a vengeful spirit.

In the end, Micah gets his comeuppance, but his death would have been so much more effective if he were in any way likeable.

Moral of the story? When your significant other tells you the house is haunted, believe them with no questions asked and hire the most expensive exorcist you can find.
