10 Great Movie Villains Who Were Completely Useless

4. Dennis Nedry - Jurassic Park

Though the T-Rex ran rampant on Isla Nublar during the test run of Jurassic Park, killing multiple people, with the Dilophasaurus and Velociraptors adding to the death count themselves, the dinosaurs weren't the villains of the piece. This undoubtedly fell to the human element.

John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) was, of course, ultimately responsible for everything that happened since he was the mind behind bringing dinosaurs and humans together. However, the majority of the blame for what happened at the original Jurassic Park falls to Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight).

The man was in charge of all of the park's security and computer systems, and was so unhappy in his work that he agreed to a little corporate espionage. He would deliver 15 dinosaur embryos to John Hammond's competition, Lewis Dodgson, for a ludicrous amount of money. Nedry's genius solution to beat security and get to the embryos unmolested? Shutting down every single security system on the island.

He got his hands on the prize, sure, but he didn't seem to consider the fact that he set free all of the deadly animals in the park, thus making escape damn near impossible. The Dilophosaurus ultimately got to him when he got lost, but even if he'd have found his way properly, chances are the Raptors or Rexy would have found him instead.
