Run Time: 90 minutes Arguably one of the best and most talked about movie of 2014, Enemy will either leave you completely shaken or bored and confused. Some will praise it while others will hate it. Yes, the film is very slow moving and a bit difficult to follow, but this is a film that requires patience from the audience. It also doesnt help when the film was marketed as a fast paced thriller when in fact its actually a disturbing psychological thriller. However, those who loved the film will have it stuck in their minds for days, weeks, even months. Now thats powerful cinema. Its a film that must be watched numerous times in order to catch the hidden details you may have missed. Thats the entire purpose of these types of films; they want you to think deep. Perhaps the most impressive thing about Enemy (besides Gyllenhaal's very convincing performance) is that director Denis Villeneuve somehow was able to fit all of this into a 90-minute time frame.
