4. Fear Street Part 2: 1978
The second part of a quick-succession trilogy for Netflix, the Fear Street films were made back to back and set across vastly different time periods from 1666 to 1994. Part 2 was set in 1978 and starred "Mad" Max Mayfield herself, Sadie Sink.
Based on the teen horror series by Goosebumps author R. L. Stein, this second part follows Sink as Ziggy Bergman trying to survive a murder spree in Camp Nightwing alongside friends and family, while also trying to end a witch's curse, which is the main plot point for the trilogy.
The film obviously makes much more sense when viewed as a part of the whole series rather than just a single film, but as a single entity the film is an excellent homage to slashers of the past like Friday the 13th, chock full of twists, turns, gruesome deaths and a career highlight for the lead actress herself. No wonder she took to slaying demi-dogs so well.
