9. Friday The 13th Part III (7%)
Rocking a mere 7% on the Tomatometer, Friday the 13th Part III is the worst-reviewed of all the movies in the slasher franchise, though fan reception to the sequel has always been considerably warmer, with many ranking it among their favourite entries in the series.
First and foremost, Part III is straight-up iconic because it's the movie where Jason Voorhees (Richard Brooker) finally got his hockey mask.
Beyond solidifying Jason's look, it also benefits from a tone that never takes itself too seriously: the 3D gimmick is fun for some goofy death scenes, and prankster Shelly (Larry Zerner) remains one of the series' best-ever victims.
From the entertaining kills to the straight-forward story and appealing Final Girl in Chris Higgins (Dana Kimmell), Part III is an efficient slasher flick that makes the most of Jason's newly defined look while expertly balancing its scares and laughs.
And above all else, it's the only Friday the 13th movie with a disco theme, which alone is enough to earn it a spot on this list.
