You knew it was good, you knew you liked it, but you might not have totally gotten it.

Even for the most seasoned of movie fans, there's no shame in admitting it took more than one viewing to completely grasp any of these movies. They're dense with symbolism and packed with meaning, but often shrouded in a confusing plot and unclear narrative.

These were the movies that made you stay up at night, trying to piece their puzzle together after the fact, the ones you raced to Wikipedia to read about, and the ones that compelled you to watch them again in a new light.
