10 Greatest Bromances In The History Of Cinema

6. Riggs & Murtaugh - Lethal Weapon

Rocky Apollo
Warner Bros

You can question the idea that Riggs and Murtaugh's relationship is a bromance all you like, but here are the facts: The two spend an almost excessive amount of time together outside of work, Riggs treats Murtaugh's family like his own, Murtaugh was set to retire from the police force multiple times but always found a way back into the fold alongside his partner, and Riggs once helped Murtaugh elude a toilet bomb.

Any way you slice, that is a bromance, ladies and gentlemen.

Also, their dichotomy of tight-assed exasperation and free wheelin' jauntiness meshes insanely well. They're the yin to one another's yang, and helped each other embrace aspects of life they otherwise wouldn't have.

They weren't just partners in law, they were brothers. And that relationship flourished as the Lethal Weapon series progressed, until you were absolutely positive that if there were ever a fifth installment, it would just be 90s minutes of Gibson and Glover sitting around the television on a Sunday, watching football and reliving every stupidly dangerous experience Riggs got them into.
