10 Greatest Cliffhangers In Movie Franchise History
2. Back To The Future
"No no no no no, Marty, both you and Jennifer turn out fine. It's your kids, Marty, something has got to be done about your kids."
Marty McFly had reunited his parents, travelled back to the present and made history for the better. It was a slick, fun ending to a great time travel movie, but it wasn't over yet. A frantic Doc Brown arrived in the DeLorean, and pulled Marty and his girlfriend Jennifer into the car. This time Marty didn't have to get back to present day from the past; no, going back to the future meant just that. The future. 2015. It turns out travelling back to 1955 was just the beginning; Marty had fixed his parents, but now he needed to fix his kids. More thrilling then that, the DeLorean could fly! Rather depressingly the future witnessed in the sequel isn't going to be taking place this year, although there have been some bold attempts to create the hover board... Even more interestingly, there was no plan for a sequel when Back To The Future was made. So this tease - as awesome as it is - may have been just that. Thankfully the film was a success and Back To The Future Part II more than delivered on that promise.
