10 Greatest Film Biopics Of The Last Decade

1. The Social Network

When word broke that there would be a movie about Facebook, audience members scrunched their faces and turned their noses up at the mere idea of it. Little did they know, David Fincher would make one of the most sophisticated and sharp biopics ever made. The film uses a lawsuit against the behemoth social network site as a narrative device to tell Zuckerberg's story and investigates his relationship between loved ones and the co-founder of Facebook, who was eventually squeezed out. Based on the book by Ben Mezrich, Aaron Sorkin provided a downright amazing script that complimented the slick, hard-ass world that Fincher had created. As well as being stunningly shot, the performances from the film's main players are outstanding. With Jesse Eisenberg playing Mark, his ability to be completely obnoxious while simultaneously intriguing is fantastic. Alongside him, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake and Armie Hammer all play wonderfully convincing and interesting characters, making The Social Network an all-round winner.
