4. Gael García Bernal & Diego Luna In Y Tu Mamá También
The Set Up Teenagers Bernal and Luna road trip through Mexico to a fabricated beach they call Boca del Cielo (Heaven's Mouth). They take with them a lonely woman (Maribel Verdú) who has left her philandering husband in search of freedom. The three talk about morality, have sex and hijack their morals - and all of it culminates in a kiss that surprised foreign-film-going audiences. In For The Kill Drunk off tequila, beers, and hormones, the three hunker down in their beach-side shack. The de-robing commences. Verdú kneels down (use your imagination), and in a moment of unbridled passion, the two men kiss. Passionately. As in,"I like this and I don't know what's happening but I want you." What Makes It So Great It's free love, duh! Yes, they were drunk. Yes, they were incredibly turned on by Verdú and each other by proxy. They were gay for a night. So what? It's a kiss that blurs the lines between romance, friendship and our primitive natures. The greatest kisses will shock you. This one does on so many levels. But it's the message of the fluidity of sexuality that makes it one of the greatest.
