This is the iconic modern Hollywood heist movie and a second showing on the list for mister steal your money, girl and espresso machine, George Clooney. Hes just got a face made for stealing stuff. This is just a straight up fun movie from Stephen Soderbergh who takes a break from experimenting with darker sides to the human psyche to ply his trade towards a good old fashioned caper flick. Its like Ronnie OSullivan playing exhibition shots for the crowd after wrapping up yet another frame. It's a flat out funny movie with classic golden age Hollywood style quips, tight misdirection and some fantastic cameos that include Topher Grace and Pacey from Dawson's Creek With an ensemble cast, sharp script and some magic Hollywood production dust, this Rat Pack remake isnt reinventing the genre by any means. Its the meat and two veg of twenty first century Hollywood; that being said, Oceans Eleven is the quintessential popcorn and a large coke movie. Just dont talk to me about Vincent Cassel dance fighting through a laser field in the sequel.
