10 Greatest Over-Acted Performances In Movie History

4. Al Pacino - Scarface (1983)

Gary Oldman Leon
Universal Pictures

Sporting a nasty scar and an even nastier Cuban accent, Al Pacino plays Tony Montana, a young go-getter from Cuba who just wants to 'live the American dream':

“First you get the money, then you get the power, then you get the women”

It’s a film dripping with 80’s excess, from Alpine ranges of cocaine to the ‘Push it to the Limit’ montage. As such, nothing but an excessive performance from its lead man could suffice.

There’s plenty of classic Pacino tyraids in the movie. The ‘“Look at the Bad Guy” scene in the restaurant when Tony rags on the fancy diners is a classic. The iconic “Say hello to my little friend” before blasting the goons with a grenade launcher. It’s an explosive performance indeed.

And every time Pacino says “!*$%-a-roaches” he must’ve been loving it.
