10 Greatest Sequels Of All Time

2. Toy Story 3

toy-story-3 There wasn't a dry eye in the house by the time Toy Story 3 concluded. The characters may have been animated toys, but we felt more humanity in them than we do most real people. It's the greatest threequel ever and it works for everybody. It has the fun and humour for the younger ones and the heart and emotional depth to tie the older ones up in an illustrious world of life and colour. The last quarter of the picture is essentially a riveting prison break movie with daring action sequences which catapult the movie towards its tearful conclusion. It's masterful storytelling, full of vibrancy, unforgettable scenes and memorable characters. Additions to the series include the tragic villain Lots-O-Huggin Bear, the theatrical Mr. Pricklepants and the vain, but hilarious Ken. Toy Story 3 is the perfect example to use to prove the brilliance of animated films. The attention to detail is remarkable and it looks so stunning as Pixar continue to outdo themselves. The final 15 minutes is some of the finest pieces of cinema from the last 10 years. Grown men were left in floods of tears as Woody, Buzz and the gang held hands in the face of death and destruction, offering a moment of beautiful unity. This was only topped by Andy's final decision to give his toys, including Woody, to Bonnie, a girl similar to himself. It was the perfect moment to end the perfect trilogy.
