10 Greatest Superhero Movie Themes Of All Time

It is only natural that a film about the definitive superhero should produce the definitive superhero movie theme.

John Williams' work on the Superman films, that started in 1978, stands alongside his perhaps more celebrated efforts for the likes of Star Wars and Harry Potter. The Superman theme perfectly encapsulates the heroism and adventure of Christopher Reeve's Supes films. You almost feel like trying to lift a car yourself while listening to it (though this is not to be recommended).

Semi-sequel Superman Returns kept on the iconic tune in a wise move, knowing they could never top the original, while the reliable Hans Zimmer tried his hardest for reboot Man of Steel. Yet William's effort will long reign over superhero films' soundtracks.

 Composers have been trying to beat it for decades and, who knows, one might crack it soon. But for now it remains the most super superhero movie theme.
