10 Greatest Teams In MCU History

There have been literally dozens of superheroes introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe since it began, sharing a vast universe while all coming together to fight Thanos at Avengers HQ in 2023. Cap finally said those magic words to begin the battle charge, but there were more than just the Avengers that took to the field.

Across all the MCU, the Avengers made up just a small portion of the heroes that ultimately defeated Thanos. While others fought beside them, they were never technically on the roster, many of them belonged to other teams instead. It was these numerous teams coming together that faced Thanos, but all were incredible units in their own right before coming under the leadership of Captain America.

Now that Marvel are moving on from the Infinity Saga, there is a whole new list of teams set to debut in the MCU over the coming years, with the likes of the Eternals, the Fantastic Four, the Marvels, and in time the X-Men making their way to the franchise.

With this new generation set to take the MCU by storm, there has never been a better time to appreciate the teams that have fought throughout the franchise and across the universe, saving lives, cities, and planets over the last 13 years.

Avengers: Endgame was built up from the very beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and throughout those 11 years, dozens of superheroes were introduced. The final battle with Thanos was the first time all of them, with the exception of a small few, could be brought together.

This allowed for certain characters to team up with others that they had never even met before, as well as some incredible reunions. When Carol Danvers had to get Tony’s gauntlet to Scott in his van, she received help in the form of just about every female hero on the battlefield.

Wanda, Okoye, Shuri, Gamora, Nebula, Mantis, Pepper, Valkyrie, Hope, and more came together in what was a clear nod from the MCU to the A-Force, a group of female heroes from the source material.

In reality, as a team they did little more than help Carol get through the hoards of Thanos’ army, and if we’re being honest, she probably didn’t need any help, but the sheer power that this group of women boasts more than earns a place on this list. They may not have had much time as a team on screen, but put them against any other on this list and they’d more than hold their own.
