10 Greatest Threequels Of All Time

1. Toy Story 3

toy-story-3 Nobody thought Pixar could pull it off, nobody thought they could improve on the near perfect conclusion of Toy Story 2, but 11 years later they surpassed the prior movies and then some. Simply one of the finest animated movies ever made and to call this the best of the trilogy is no faint praise as both the first and second Toy Story movies are some of the most joyous to ever come out of America. John Lasseter and his impressive team examine growing up like only Pixar can, by making you laugh and cry over the same scene. Toy Story 3 features some of the darkest material Pixar have put out, such as the impending destruction of the toys which didn't leave a dry high in the house, but also some of their warmest such as its final scenes which also leaves you in floods of tears. The picture is an intelligent adventure that will be understood by younger members of the audience and adored by the older ones who remember going to their local cinema way back in 1995. The last half an hour is a brilliant prison escape movie, plotted and executed with sublime ingenuity and the deft comedic moments such as Spanish Buzz are some of the most memorable from the entire Pixar canon. It's a special film that is important to a lot of people and the final few minutes perfectly captures the beauty of youth and innocence.
