8. Carrie White
Carrie (1976) was the first of Stephen King's novels to be depicted on screen, and remains one of the finest and most fondly remembered of all of them. The concept is pretty chilling, taking an innocent, doe-eyed teenage girl, the last thing one would expect to be a threat, and making her a killer. However, she's still just a teenage girl, and her psychic powers for causing tragedy and disaster only kick in when she is humiliated, angered or mocked profusely. So how about you just be nice? Let's be fair, Carrie is generally a nice girl. The blood you see all over her on the posters is actually from a pig, and she had nothing to do with it's murder. Good manners cost nothing, and that's pretty much all it takes to keep Carrie on side and save a whole lot of bother.
