4. Professor Minerva McGonagall

Anyone that doesn’t love Professor McGonagall is a liar. The stern head of Gryffindor house is undoubtable an excellent witch. Stepping in to seemingly protect Harry against Snape in the Deathly Hallows and organising the defence of Hogwarts, McGonagall is a leader and someone that people undoubtably respect.

Although not directly involved in The Order, McGonagall was still pivotal in the fight against Voldemort and the Death Eaters. It’s clear she will do anything to protect her students and was the clear choice to eventually succeed Dumbledore once Voldemort was defeated.

Professor McGonagall is someone we get a good sense of during the books and films, we know what sort of character and person she is. What we don’t get much of a sense of is what made her the person she is, learning more about McGonagall’s past and personality outside of Hogwarts would intrigue many a fan.
