10 HATED Actors Everyone Was Wrong About
1. Robert Pattinson
Who would have thought that when he debuted as the dashing Cedric Diggory, or stole the hearts of every teenage girl in the late 2000s as a vampire, that one day audiences would be pumping their fists for Robert Pattinson as Batman?
R-Patz was at one point an eye-rolling and contemptible figure who displayed a smouldering face only a fist could love (according to his harshest critics) - his appearances in trashy romantic flicks and cult-like vampire sagas made casual movie audience' blood boil. But when the Twilight franchise finished, he pulled the ripcord and ejected from that line of work as fast as he could.
Over the years, it seemed the weirder the role, the better the gig. The pantheon of his acting chops smashed through the ceiling with High Life, Good Time, and his zany range didn't seem to stop with The Lighthouse.
His scene-stealing role as Neil in Tenet (fourth lead is pretty good!) has recently won praise, but it's his take on The Batman that catches us off guard. When he was first cast, haters made their jokes about a "sparkly Batman", but where are they now following the first trailer for next year's flick?
