10 HATED Horror Movies That Are Awesome Now

9. Halloween III: Season Of The Witch

It's no secret that people were majorly disappointed with Halloween's third instalment. Not only did it deviate majorly in plot from what they expected but it failed to feature the franchise's famous villain at all.

Despite the obvious problems with it, there is plenty to like about Halloween III - one thing being that it's the last of the series that John Carpenter was actually directly involved in making. It has an interesting plot, a sort of thriller spin and, were it not for the fact it was sold as a Halloween sequel, I think it could've done quite well.

There's androids, weird supernatural medallions and all manner of engaging kills. Its fatal flaw is that it doesn't have Michael Myers, and that's what made everyone hate it at the time.

Now we know what to expect we can appreciate it for what it is, rather than what it is not. And what it is is a pretty good horror that's a fun ride if you don't take it all too seriously.
